UK Tech Week 2026 Partner Spotlight: Birmingham Tech Week

In the lead-up to UK Tech Week 2026, we’re shining a spotlight on the partners helping to shape and champion the UK’s tech ecosystem. Through this series, you’ll hear directly from our partners about who they are, what they’re planning for UK Tech Week, and why collaboration across the nation matters more than ever.

1. Tell us about your festival or organisation

Birmingham Tech Week is the UK’s largest regional tech festival and conference, convening a complete innovation ecosystem in one place. It brings together technology creators and adopters, investors, policymakers, international delegates and skills providers to connect, collaborate and drive innovation forward.

Birmingham Tech Week is delivered by TechWM, an independent, not-for-profit community interest company that sits at the beating heart of the West Midlands tech ecosystem. As a trusted convener, TechWM accelerates the region’s digital economy by connecting the ecosystem, amplifying its strengths, and enabling businesses to innovate, adopt transformative technologies and scale.

As a not-for-profit organisation (a community interest company limited by guarantee), Birmingham Tech Week reinvests all sponsorship income back into building and promoting the West Midlands tech ecosystem, ensuring long-term, sustainable impact for the region.

2. UK Tech Week is about encouraging regional and national collaboration. Can you spotlight another tech organisation in your region people should know about?

A key organisation in our region is SuperTech, which drives technology- and innovation-led growth for the professional and financial services sectors across Birmingham and the West Midlands.

Through proven programmes, SuperTech connects founders and scaleups with leading financial, legal and property services organisations, enabling open innovation and collaboration with national and international impact.

3. Why are you taking part in UK Tech Week 2026?

“UK Tech Week 2026 is a powerful moment to spotlight the depth, diversity and ambition of the UK’s tech ecosystem. From the West Midlands to every corner of the country, innovation is being driven by people, partnerships and purpose. We’re proud to be part of a national celebration that connects regions, accelerates opportunity, and reinforces the UK’s position as a global leader in technology.”
