UK Tech Week 2026 Partner Spotlight: Tech East

In the lead-up to UK Tech Week 2026, we’re shining a spotlight on the partners helping to shape and champion the UK’s tech ecosystem. Through this series, you’ll hear directly from our partners about who they are, what they’re planning for UK Tech Week, and why collaboration across the nation matters more than ever.

In this feature, we speak to Tech East to explore how the organisation supports and connects the East of England’s technology sector, the event they’ll be hosting during UK Tech Week 2026, and why regional collaboration is central to building a stronger national tech ecosystem.

1. Tell us about your festival or organisation

Tech East supports and promotes the technology sector across Norfolk, Suffolk, and Essex. Our mission is to help tech businesses grow, thrive, and gain national and international recognition. We connect founders, innovators, and investors, champion the region’s tech talent, and foster collaboration across technology, business, and education.

2. What event will you be running as part of UK Tech Week 2026?

We’re hosting Tech Mixer: Shaping Suffolk’s AI Future on 19 March in Ipswich. It’s an inspiring evening exploring how artificial intelligence is transforming the region, featuring a keynote speaker, a lively panel with voices from local tech, business, and education, plus the chance to network in a relaxed setting over drinks and pizza.

3. UK Tech Week is about encouraging regional and national collaboration. Can you spotlight another tech organisation in your region people should know about?

We’re excited to spotlight IJYI, a trailblazing tech company in the East of England that’s transforming how businesses use digital solutions. From innovative software to cutting-edge AI applications, IJYI is driving real-world impact and showcasing the strength and ambition of the region’s tech innovation.

4. Why are you taking part in UK Tech Week 2026?

UK Tech Week is the perfect platform to showcase the East of England’s tech ecosystem, connect with innovators from across the UK, and spark collaborations that drive growth. It gives us the opportunity to highlight regional talent, share ideas, and demonstrate how the East is helping shape the future of technology — particularly in areas like AI and digital innovation.
