In the lead-up to UK Tech Week 2026, we’re shining a spotlight on the partners helping to shape and champion the UK’s tech ecosystem. Through this series, you’ll hear directly from our partners about who they are, what they’re planning for UK Tech Week, and why collaboration across the nation matters more than ever.
In this feature, we speak to Bradford Digital to explore how the community has grown since launching in 2023, its plans for UK Tech Week 2026, and why being part of a wider national initiative is a key moment for Bradford’s digital and tech sector.
Bradford Digital launched in October 2023 to support a more connected and visible digital community across the district. Since then, it has grown into a recognised platform bringing together people working across technology, digital, creative, and non-profit sectors – both from within Bradford and beyond.
To date, Bradford Digital has delivered nine quarterly events, welcoming more than 350 attendees and over 30 speakers. Community-led topics have ranged from artificial intelligence and digital marketing to entrepreneurship and business growth.
While firmly rooted in Bradford, the events have attracted participants from across the UK – from Middlesbrough to Bristol and from Liverpool to Hull – demonstrating clear demand beyond the city and growing interest in Bradford’s emerging digital hub.
With the increased profile of the city following its incredible UK City of Culture year in 2025, Bradford Digital is now ready to build on this momentum. Joining UK Tech Week marks an important next phase, providing a national platform to showcase the businesses, organisations, and next generation of digital talent developing in the city.
Bradford Digital is pleased to launch its first Tech Tuesday event on Tuesday 17 March, taking place as part of UK Tech Week 2026. Further details will be shared shortly, but the event will bring together the local digital community to connect, share ideas, and celebrate the strength of tech and innovation in Bradford.
We’re big fans of Leeds Digital Festival. Beyond the geographical connection, there’s a huge amount we can learn from the wider Yorkshire digital community they’ve helped build.
That extends to other networks and meet-ups such as Northern Affinity, In Business, and Digital Clubhouse, as well as connections with businesses and partners in Manchester.
Across all of these communities, there’s a shared ambition: to showcase the North as the digital powerhouse we already know it is.
We were very kindly invited to take part and that recognition means a great deal. Bradford Digital has, to date, been a passion project, but one that’s seen fantastic engagement, brilliant speakers, and plenty of enjoyment along the way.
Becoming part of something bigger and more connected through UK Tech Week will bring huge benefits for the city and the wider region. The people make the place and the place is Bradford. Now feels like the right time to show just how strong our digital and tech community really is.
