CyNam (Cyber Cheltenham) was founded in 2015 and continues to be a non-profit at the heart of the UK’s flagship cyber security cluster, based in Gloucestershire.
Cheltenham has a rich history as a hub for secure innovation, anchored by the presence of GCHQ, and the largest concentration of cyber security businesses outside of London. Despite its humble beginnings, CyNam rapidly expanded in response to the region’s burgeoning cyber sector, and now represents a community of over 7000 members.
Its activity is focused around three key strategic objectives which are: developing the regional ecosystem, catalysing innovation and investment and supporting skills growth. CyNam welcomes SMEs, large organisations, investors, local and central government representatives, and everyone in between.
With a wide variety of activities running through the year, CyNam has something for everyone. Engage with CyNam by attending events, signing up to receive regular updates and becoming part of one of our many programmes.
Hollie Wakefield, General Manager of CyNam said:
“We are thrilled to partner with UK Tech Week in 2025. This collaboration provides an exceptional platform to showcase the innovative spirit and technological expertise thriving in Cheltenham and Gloucestershire. Innovation doesn’t happen in isolation—it thrives when people from diverse backgrounds, industries, and perspectives come together with a shared ambition. And that’s exactly what UK Tech Week makes possible.”
