Delivering the Tech Scale Up Ambition

Join us for a morning summit in partnership with UK Tech Week to discuss the launch of techUK’s Scale-Up Action Plan report.

We’re bringing together key players from the scale-up ecosystem to explore how the UK can fully harness its tech and science scale-up potential.

Scale-ups, though just 0.6% of SMEs, drive over 55% of SME output and contribute a staggering £1.45 trillion to the UK economy, according to the ScaleUp Institute’s latest findings.

With the Spending Review on the horizon, this is a pivotal moment to explore how Government can better support high-growth businesses, and this event is a unique opportunity to discuss and shape the nation’s ambitions for growth, with a focus on unlocking benefits for all UK regions.

Agenda:

Recent action, including pension reform, announcement of the British Growth Partnership and Regulatory Innovation Office, marks steps in the right direction.

Panel 2: Scale of the ambition – what does success look like?

Placing diversity at the heart of the ambition.

If women started and scaled their businesses at the same rate as men, the UK could unlock a staggering £250 billion for the UK economy.
